The Ghana School of Law SRC has sworn into office a new set of Executives to take over the affairs of its student leadership for the 2024/25 academic year.

Included in the list of the new Executives are Maxwell Adu Takyi; Vice President(GIMPA campus), Samuel Gyekye-Fosu; Vice President(UPSA campus), Collins Osei Agyemang; Vice president (Kumasi campus), Nana Yaa Siawaa Attafuah(General Secretary), Felix Osafo Marfo; Organising Secretary and Bright Kofi Abotsi; Treasurer.
In his inaugural address, Daniel Otting saw the opportunity given him as an honor and expressed his gratitude and a strong sense of focus to fulfill the task beyond expectation.
He therefore pledged to do more to better the gains of the previous administration in securing a consistent internet connection, Public Address systems, subscriptions to legal library resources, and sanitary washrooms in the institution.
Also, he promised to make moot and other academic competitions in the school competitive to hold more promise for future generations of law students while providing a ‘functional and modern website for the SRC with an accompanying application to unify students and cater to our specific needs has been long overdue.’
Again, the new SRC head promised to deal with the perennial issues including timelines for internship during exams, and pleaded with management to reconsider the 40% threshold for remarking.
Entrance Exams Preparatory class
A first and major intervention immediately after taking over is the Ghana School of Law Entrance exam preparatory classes organized to support the preparatory efforts of the candidates sitting the 2024 entrance exams.
The class, which came off on Saturday, August 31, and facilitated by Kenneth Atsu, touched on key areas such as;
1. Time management
2. Grammar
3. Structure of the responses.
4. AIRAC Method
5. IBC method
6. Legal opinion / as an intern with a judge.
